Eric Wangerin, founder & CHAIRMAN


Eric Wangerin is a retired Army NCO having served time at various Army installations during the "Cold War".

After his Army career Mr. Wangerin worked for Intel Corporation as a global Business Unit Manager for almost 10 years and then at Citizens Property Insurance Corp where he assisted in building its Vendor Management program.  Today he manages the Vendor Management Office at Crowley Maritime and sits on it's Veterans Employee Resource Group steering committee.

While on Active Duty (AGR), with the California Army Guard Eric managed the Vista Armory Homeless Shelter for two years and prior to his military career Mr. Wangerin had spent two years working  with the homeless  while in street ministry in Orlando, FL where he worked with the homeless and those in need as a young adult.

Mr. Wangerin has a passion for helping Veterans and has been a member of the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition and their "Jobs for Vets" program since 2012, and assisted the 5 Star Veterans Center in building a computer lab with donated PC's from Intel Corporation and teaching job skills classes in 2014.

Ernest Petefish, Vice-Chair & COO


Ernest "Pete" Petefish is a retired Army NCO and has been with the AoUSMV since its early days.  Eric and Pete served together for 10 years in the Army Guards "AGR" program and after retirement worked together at Intel Corporation

Mr. Petefish Joined the Army Reserve in early 1982 and then went active duty soon after returning home from Basic Training.  Over the next eleven years he completed 3 tours in Germany, Wiesbaden (4th BDE 4th ID Forward); Minze (8thID) and Nue Ulm (Big Red One); along with a tour in Saudi Arabia (Desert Shield/Storm).   He also served 3 tours at Ft Stewart, GA  with the 197th Enhanced INF BDE, and Ft Riley (Big Red One).  

Mr. Petefish returned to his home after his Active Duty service where he spent 3 years in the National Guard and in 1995 was offered a position as an AGR soldier and retired as an Assistant Brigade Logistics NCO where he assisted deployment of several Units in support of the War on terrorism.

Mr. Petefish has recently spent the last 2 years as a Veterans Service Representative with the Veterans Benefits administration developing veteran’s claims for benefits. 

Dallas Dunn, Chief Executive Officer


 Mr. Dunn stared his Army career as an enlisted soldier and worked his way to Staff Sergeant.  He then took the opportunity to attend Officer Candidate School and finished his career in the Army  as a Major.    While serving in the Army, Mr. Dunn became certified as a DoD Contracting Officer and has over 24 years of leadership experience at all levels of the Army. 

When Mr. Dunn retired, he stated his own staffing agency that focused on helping Veterans find positions in the IT industry, where he worked with the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition "Jobs for Vets" program.

Mr. Dunn also has management experience with small business management and success with network of contacts within many veterans organizations.  He also has experience in Vendor  Contract and Grant management as well working in Vendor Management.

Since retiring from the Army, Mr. Dunn has made it his goal to help as many of his fellow Veterans as he can.   Mr. Dunn is a great asset to the AoUSMV!

Rochelle Griffis, Chief Information Officer


Rochelle Griffis (Meade), served in the United States Navy for a total of 10 years; following the advice of her father who retired as a SR Master Chief in the US Navy. While in the service, Ms. Griffis developed a passion to assist fellow Military Sailors with their Administrative needs.

In 2008, Ms. Griffis obtained a civilian position as an Administrative Assistant/Statistician to the Navy SEALs/SWCC community in Great Lakes, IL.  While working for this elite group for 8 years, she wanted to continue her self-development and received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology. 

In addition, Ms. Griffis dedicated some time to assist a Non-Profit group consisting of Active Duty Military and Retired personnel in developing the health and well-being to young men and women within the community.

In 2016, Ms. Griffis moved to Jacksonville, FL, and is working in the Industry sector under Corporate Security where she had met founder and CEO, Eric Wangerin, and team.

Ms. Griffis continues to assist the team, and volunteers her time within our community by working with other Non-Profit organizations and working at the local food pantry.

We are happy to have her on the AoUSMV team!
